ROAD CREW MAINTENANCE WORKER
OVERVIEW:
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a variety of tasks related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of town roads, streets, storm sewers, facilities, and equipment.
- Perform manual tasks and operate various equipment, including trucks, streetsweepers, plows, heavy machinery, hand tools, motorized equipment, mowers, and tractors.
Specific Duties:
- Road Maintenance and Construction: Patching roads and streets with cold blacktop mix. Resurfacing roads and grading them. Graveling roads. Checking culverts and shoulders.
- Signage and Safety: Erecting Road signs in accordance with state requirements. Installing and repairing signs.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operating power equipment and maintaining it in good condition.
- Performing carpentry and masonry work.
- Winter Maintenance: Plowing snow, salting, Township roads and municipal parking lots.
- Other Responsibilities: Picking up trash and debris. Painting streets and buildings. Answering emergency calls. Erecting and removing barricades.
- Qualifications:
- Knowledge of general maintenance, construction, tools, and equipment.
- Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Ability to perform strenuous work, including heavy lifting.
MUST: Possession of a valid, current Driver’s License.

Duties:
